OMG! 6.6" of Rain In 2-Days!!!

Incredible. In our 6-1/2 years in the tropics I don't think we've seen rain like this. We thought an average of 1"/day last year was something but the past several days has taken it to a whole new level.

As I write, it's not currently raining but it's overcast and a breeze is blowing making it feel kinda chilly. The yard is a mud bog and of course our poor driveway really takes damage from that kind of rainfall.

We normally expect a couple weeks of "indian summer" in the month of July. Doesn't look like it'll happen this year unless there's a drastic turnaround in the weather. Not sure what's driving this weather except possibly the hurricane/tropical storm off the Pacific coast of Mexico. Looking at today's weather map it appears that we're not out of the rain yet and it'll be here for at least another day or two.

Don't plan on any kayaking for a couple of days.
